Speaker Interview
Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Ruth Carter, and I am a licensed attorney in Arizona and I practice social media law.

What have you enjoyed most about UnGagged?

What isn’t there to enjoy about UnGagged? You know, I really do think that my favourite part is always the people, amazing people, amazing stories; amazing things to take back to the office.

What kind of people have you met and what kind of conversations have you had?

I think my favourite conversations are the stories people have. The way they work and what’s worked and what hasn’t, especially talking to the reputation management people because we attack the same problem, but in very different ways.

You go to a lot of conferences, how does this compare to other conferences?

It’s pretty amazing. I mean, I love all of the UnGagged people and I find myself, whenever i talk to them; shifting into my British accent just by default, and I can’t help it. I don’t think Craig and I have ever had a conversation where I was speaking like an american, or at least not trying to. It’s just lovely. I feel like I’m so well taken care of as a speaker, nobody at any conference this year has taken better care of me than the UnGagged people. Just the way everything has gone so smoothly, with all the sessions, and the hotel and what not.

Who has been your favourite speaker?

Besides you? Actually, you really were one of my favourites. I actually heard you speak in London and I had to come back and do it again. But besides you, I think my favourite speaker was Rae Hoffman this morning, she was really phenomenal. She’s a great speaker, and so knowledgeable, it wasn’t that she was just entertaining,Ii was just like who does she know all this? It just flows like butter.

If you could say one thing that sums up UnGagged, what would it be?

One thing that sums up UnGagged? You know I want to say knowledge, because this is one of the conferences where I walk away with so much practical information that I can apply. So, that’s one of the things I like best about UnGagged.
