Dawn has long been intrigued by the behaviour of Googlebots and in understanding what makes them return to URLs beyond the originally discussed factors of PageRank and Hostload. Her investigations have led her to work on strategies based upon several other factors, with a primary focus on utilising Page Importance on URLs as a whole to catch Googlebots eye and gain further crawl. She’ll be extending upon her findings at Ungagged and sharing actionable tactics around URL families and Googlebot herding to strengthen pages via improved Page Importance.
