Mobile-First SEO and how to prepare for the next MobileGeddon
With the launch of Google’s mobile-friendly update on April 21st, the SEO community has been set on a path towards a mobile-first approach. This paradigm shift necessitates Webmasters (and app owners) to align development practices in order to remain competitive with its search rankings. Google began by requiring access to CSS and JavaScript, then precluded pages with app interstitials from rankings, but what’s next? All signals indicate the next Mobile-Friendly updates will place emphasis on UX design and page loading, among other things. This session will provide an overview of Google’s mobile-friendly update (aka: Mobilegeddon), as well as best practices to implement prior to the next mobile update being unleashed.
