Some Red Flags that Search Engines can use to identify Spam

London 2017 | 14 - 16 June 2017 | 14:00

Long gone are the days when submitting to 1000 directories had much affect on search, but still many link networks and spam sites leave surprisingly obvious footprints which search engines and the enlightened can often use to pinpoint spam. This presentation looks at common and less common known signals, including how networks seek to misrepresent their value. You will leave with a firmer understanding of the dangers of using link networks and what to test or look out for in your own link profile.

The Venue

Where is it?

UnGagged London takes place at etc.Venues County Hall, an iconic setting on the Southbank of the Thames. A few minutes’ walk from Waterloo and Westminster stations, County Hall sits shoulder to shoulder with The Houses of Parliament and The London Eye.

The Southbank area is packed with pubs, bars and restaurants, plus it’s really easy to get to, with great bus and underground links. So once the sessions are done and you’ve networked your socks off, you can explore the best London has to offer, right on the conference doorstep.
