Smart Analytic Concepts

Las Vegas 2015 | 9 - 11 November 2015 | 15:30

I’d like to engage with the audience during the session to discuss how a more user friendly analytics platform could look like and what it would take to develop and market such.

The challenge we are facing today is that data (including performance data) is becoming more and more relevant on a daily basis for non-analytic disciplines. Producers, Editors, CEOs or other people within an organization look at charts and dashboards to understand what is happening performance wise. But in many cases the “Why performance is changing” still requires manual investigatons based on different dimensions and time windows. People with a less analytic focus often struggling with the “Why” and if they start investigating potential causes they might often end up pulling the wrong numbers.

How could a more user friendly interface look like and provide quickly the answers the data consumer is looking for (e.g. Why did PVs decline yesterday by 10% compared to the previous day). This obviously would all be related to big data and machine learning. However, rather than discussing the technical hurdles, I’d like to discuss the possible analytics concepts and vision that are different from all the common analytics tools like GA, Omniture and others.
